Founders of Kaito Coffee, Holly & Paul are truly making a movement over in Hudson, QC, Canada!
Upon initially stumbling across this coffee roaster on Instagram, I immediately noticed the personalized touch and care that the company offers, by showcasing different coffees for different people with different palates. Now of course, I assume that you’re going to say, “Well most roasters do offer that by labeling the taste notes and you decide what to pick based on your taste preferences.”
For Kaito Coffee, they’ve taken a step even further beyond taste notes. They offer 3 different, attractive colors to help guide you through the process of choosing your coffee. Blue, for a “cozy, familiar taste that’s low in acidity, with flavor notes of nuts, spices, and fruit categories.” Yellow expresses a “vibrant and dynamic” duo, with taste notes of fruit, dessert, and flower qualities.” And finally, red gives off “fireworks, something that is on more of the adventurous side, for people who seek a unique and exotic taste experience.”
While scrolling through Kaito’s Instagram, I immediately noticed and was drawn to their logo bird, known as the wazo that made the packaging unique.
Through collaboration and reaching out to the fine folks at Kaito Coffee, low and behold, a custom package was delivered to my doorstep. I am super excited to take you on this journey of their coffees, as I was immediately WOWWED by the meticulous care they put into crafting the coffee.
So for this time around, let’s talk about Kaito’s LØVE Blend. To start out with this blue-packaged coffee, Paul and Holly decided to intertwine the two origins, Brazil Fazenda Recreio and Peru San Ignacio together.
What was yielded is astounding: it was exactly what they described as a cozy and familiar taste that someone who is just getting into coffee can come to appreciate. The blend brought out taste notes of a mild and pleasant nuttiness along with oaky aromas, and then ultimately finished with a flavor that was very clean and crisp.
Be on the lookout for more features from the amazing Kaito Coffee Roasters as I am looking forward to cracking more of their coffees open and revealing them to you!
